The idea behind the work

The extraordinary is just behind our full attention.

Curiosity is my
starting point

I am an Italian photographer, astrophotographer and science writer based in Luxembourg.

If you’ve browsed my galleries, you’ll know I spend a lot of time outdoors, quite often at night, with a camera never too far away.

Photography is how I reconnect with nature, silence, and the universe. It’s a form of mindfulness for me, a practical way to slow down, focus, and connect with the world around me.

I’m naturally drawn to authentic, quiet places: forests, remote villages, and dark horizons. Protecting these environments matters deeply, which is why I advocate for preserving natural darkness and healthy nightscapes.

A wider frame

Every lens
a truthful story

I photograph the world as I see it—not to embellish it, but to reveal the story already there.

Photography, for me, isn’t about perfection. It’s about truth: real light, honest moments and subjects allowed to remain themselves.

The natural night

Darkness is
not empty

Under a dark sky, familiar landscapes become strange again, distant light becomes visible and our sense of scale changes completely. This is where photography, science and environmental awareness naturally come together for me.

It is also why I co-founded Nightwise. Through stargazing, creativity and education, we help people reconnect with the natural night while protecting darkness as an environmental and cultural resource.

Real moments

Every photograph begins with something that genuinely existed in front of my camera or telescope.

Editing helps me reveal what the camera captured; it does not replace the scene. I do not use AI-generated landscapes, replacement skies or fabricated celestial details. Interpretation is part of photography. Invention is something else.
